Bahamas wins bid for 2009 Commonwealth Local Government Conference
The Bahamas has won the bid to host the next Commonwealth Local Governmnnt Conference in 2009. It will be the first time the conference has been held in the Caribbean region.
The consference will be held in Freeport, Grand Bahama .which has three local councils covering the island.
